At the Southampton Hebrew School, students age 7 to 13 learn the beauty and excitement of Judaism in a more advanced Hebrew and Jewish studies curriculum. We offer a stimulating educational experience, with classes that are fun and exciting. Our students learn to read and write Hebrew and gain an appreciation of Jewish life, exploring and discovering the beauty of their heritage through:

  Hebrew language and traditions;

  familiarization with prayers and synagogue services;

  the study of Jewish history and holidays; and

  learning about current events and the land of Israel.

Classes will be held Sundays, from 9:15 to 11:00 am.

Bar/Bat Mitzvah instruction is offered through private lessons which will prepare your child for this momentous occasion. The transition from child to teenager is a milestone in Jewish life. Give your child the tools he or she needs to prepare for the responsibilities of Jewish adulthood. Lessons may be arranged by calling the synagogue office. No synagogue affiliation is required.
